1. Introduction

Field Guide Digital, LLC ("FGD," "we," "our") operates the AGENCY Social Media Manager application ("AGENCY"), a social media management platform used by our agency to manage content publishing, scheduling, and analytics for our clients' Facebook Pages and Instagram Business accounts.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you interact with AGENCY through the Meta Platform (Facebook and Instagram APIs).

2. Information We Collect

When you connect a Facebook Page or Instagram Business account to AGENCY, we access the following information through the Meta Graph API:

  • Page and account information: Page name, Page ID, Instagram Business Account ID, profile picture, follower count, and account status.
  • Content data: Posts, photos, videos, and stories published to connected accounts, including captions, media files, and engagement metrics (likes, comments, shares, reach, impressions).
  • Publishing data: Content created and scheduled through AGENCY for publishing to connected accounts.
  • Performance insights: Post-level and account-level analytics provided by Meta's Insights API.

We do not collect personal data from the followers or audiences of connected accounts. We do not access private messages, personal profiles, or data from accounts not explicitly connected to AGENCY.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information collected through Meta APIs exclusively to:

  • Publish, schedule, and manage social media content on behalf of our clients.
  • Display analytics and performance data to help our clients understand how their content performs.
  • Provide content planning and calendar management features within AGENCY.
  • Improve our social media management services for our clients.

We do not sell, rent, or share data collected through Meta APIs with any third parties. Data is used solely for the purpose of managing our clients' social media accounts as part of our agency services.

4. Data Storage and Security

Data collected through Meta APIs is stored on secure, encrypted servers hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure in the United States. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

  • Encryption of data at rest and in transit (TLS 1.2+).
  • Access controls limiting data access to authorized Field Guide Digital team members.
  • Secure credential storage using encrypted vaults for API tokens and keys.
  • Regular security reviews and updates.

5. Data Retention

We retain data collected through Meta APIs for as long as a client's accounts are connected to AGENCY and we are actively managing their social media. When a client relationship ends or an account is disconnected:

  • Publishing access is immediately revoked.
  • Cached content and analytics data is deleted within 30 days.
  • Media files uploaded to AGENCY are deleted within 30 days unless the client requests immediate deletion.

6. Data Deletion

You may request deletion of all data associated with your connected Facebook or Instagram account at any time by contacting us at andy@fieldguidedigital.com. Upon receiving a deletion request, we will:

  • Disconnect the account from AGENCY within 24 hours.
  • Delete all stored data associated with the account within 30 days.
  • Confirm deletion in writing.

7. Third-Party Services

AGENCY integrates with the following third-party services to provide its functionality:
